Obituary

NEITMAN, Linda Kay, age 60 of Beavercreek, was welcomed into her eternal home on Sunday, January 10, 2016, peacefully, in her own house, surrounded (and serenaded) by her loving family. She is rejoicing in heaven with her beloved grandma Ethel Neitman and grandpa Cliff Neitman, mother Dovie Neitman, and granddaugther Elouise Turlington. The loss of this strong and devoted lady leaves an unfillable void in the hearts of her daughters Donna (Chris) Genelin, Gina (Jimi) Turlington, Danielle (Ricky) DeBorde; adoring grandbabies Jackson, Emma, Hank, her namesake Elinda, and newest grandson Gus due to arrive in May 2016; father Henry Neitman; brother Paul (Patty) Neitman; lifelong "sister" Kim Dyke; and countless other family and friends. Linda graduated from Beavercreek High School in 1973. She earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Wright State University. Linda was a compassionate, selfless giver who lived life in service to others as a respected mental health counselor, including the past eight years as the Clinical Director at the Glen at St. Joseph, a residential educational facility for single mothers. Linda positively impacted many lives and carried many titles, but her most cherished roles were that of Mom and Grandma. She was the most capable, talented, caring parent and grandparent any family could hope to have, and her irreplaceable love will live on in her children and grandchildren every time they read a book, watch a sunrise, bake a batch of cookies, pet a dog, compose a love note, or sing a praise song. Linda's courage and unfallable tenacity continue to lead her family in faith and strength now and throughout the years to come. Private services entrusted to Tobias of Beavercreek. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 14, 6:00pm-6:30pm at Kettering Church, 1450 East Dorothy Lane in Kettering, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kettering Church or to "Neuro-Oncology Research Fund 315027" at the Ohio State's Comprehensive Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, 660 Ackerman Road, P.O. Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218-3112 give.osu.edu/cancerfreeworld. Online condolences may be sent to www.tobiasfuneralhome.com.
